Semi-Week Reflection #1

Prompt: What have we done so far that has been helpful to your writing process? How might you apply this helpful information or tool? What has been confusing or what would you like to spend more time on? If the clarification/additional focus does not occur during class time, how will you acquire the knowledge?

Well so far in class, I made my own vignette and graded someone else’s vignette, and went over Adichie’s “The Danger of a Single Story”. Writing and grading Vignettes helps me understand what’s missing in my writing and to others who didn’t catch there mistakes, while Adichie’s speech on the other hand taught me how to open my train of thought and research more instead of only relying on one narrative as it can be stereotypical or false information. In class I really enjoyed looking at my classmates writing and to be able to help them with there mistakes, in which I believe it would benefit the class if we did this more often. If I don’t understand the topic or I need more information about it, I’ll either search up the problem or email a classmate. I’d personally email someone so I can understand how to do the assignment and get a glimpse of how to do it (If they don’t respond just google it).
